Bob retired as an owner of the firm at the end of 2016, and is currently working for the firm on a part-time basis. He continues to provide consulting services to his clients and serve as a mentor to current owners. Bob has been practicing public accounting since 1975. He has undergraduate degrees from both Syracuse University and the State University of New York at Buffalo. Bob has been spending more time with his family, including his grandchildren.
Terry is a shareholder and the firm's treasurer. He graduated with a BS in accounting from the University of Buffalo in 1973. Terry immediately began his career in public accounting with a local CPA firm and has been practicing since 1973. He joined Schunk & Wilson in 1976 and became a partner in 1978.
Terry is experienced in numerous areas including manufacturing, printing, not-for-profit, estate and trust taxation, fiduciary accounting, succession planning, and corporate and individual taxation.
Terry has been involved in several civic organizations and the Niagara Lutheran Health Foundation, Inc.
Jeff is a shareholder specializing in attestation services for closely-held businesses, employee benefit plans, and not-for-profit organizations, as well as tax compliance and consulting services for individuals and privately owned businesses. He has been practicing public accounting since 2008, when he joined Schunk, Wilson & Company after graduating from the registered accounting program at the University at Buffalo. Jeff is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
John joined Schunk, Wilson & Company as a shareholder in November 2002 in conjunction with the merger of his practice into the firm. John graduated Summa Cum Laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo and immediately began his career with another large local CPA firm. After serving many of the firm's largest clients for ten years, John left for a partnership opportunity and eventually the start of his own practice. John has diversified experience in public accounting with a primary emphasis on taxation and closely held businesses.
John is a member of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Additionally, he is active in civic organizations and is President and former treasurer of the Professional and Businessmen's Association, and a former treasurer of the Williamsville Business and Professional Association. John has lectured on tax matters to various organizations, appeared on a television tax help program, and has been quoted on tax topics in the media.
Mike is a shareholder and president of our firm. He joined Schunk, Wilson & Company CPAs, PC in July, 1986 and has been practicing Public Accounting since 1981. Prior to starting his Public Accounting career, he was a Bank Examiner for the Comptroller of the Currency. Mike is a 1979 graduate of Canisius College. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mike is active in the Rotary Club of Williamsville, having served as President and as a director.
Mike works with closely held businesses and has expertise in numerous industries, primarily in the areas of corporate and individual taxation, estate and trust taxation, fiduciary accounting, S Corporation taxation, business planning, and business valuations.
Mark is a shareholder in the firm and has been practicing public accounting since 1972. Prior to joining Schunk, Wilson & Company in September, 2003, he served in the capacity of manager, supervisor and partner in other local CPA firms. Mark is a graduate of Canisius College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. His professional experience includes a heavy concentration of auditing for not-for profit organizations and servicing various for profit industries including manufacturing, retail and wholesale distribution, sales and service firms and construction. He also has extensive background in fiduciary accounting and taxation as it relates to individuals, corporations, partnerships, employee benefit plans and not-for-profit organizations. Mark has been active in various youth sport organizations including the Police Athletic League as a coach and as a director.
Joyce joined our firm in June 2014 as an Administrative Assistant. She came to our firm with several years of experience in the accounting, clothing, and banking industries. Recently promoted to Office Manager, she is now responsible for all areas of our accounting department and general office management.
Mike graduated from the University at Buffalo with a M.S. in Accounting in 2015. Before joining our firm in November 2017, he worked in public accounting and gained experience providing a variety of tax and audit services to local businesses.
Henry is a manager with the firm, and has been with us since leaving a national CPA firm in January 1988. He is a 1986 graduate of SUNY Plattsburgh in upstate New York with a BA in Accounting. Henry is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and obtained his license to practice public accountancy in New York State.
Henry specializes in the areas of attestation and taxation services for manufacturing and service industries, employee benefit plans, and not-for-profit and governmental entities. In addition to his duties in public accountancy, he also serves as the firm's IT manager, overseeing the administration of the network, and the installation and maintenance of all hardware and software products.
Andrew joined our firm in August 2017. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the College at Brockport in May 2015, and his MBA from the University at Buffalo in May 2017. Prior to joining Schunk Wilson, Andrew interned for Delaware North and the Buffalo Bills. He is currently working towards his CPA license.
Amanda joined the firm in September 2017 as an Administrative Assistant. She is responsible for tax return assembly, financial statement processing, office correspondence, and directing all phone inquiries. Amanda has over 10 years of experience in retail and customer service.
Teri is a manager with the firm and has been practicing public accounting since 1987. She graduated magna cum laude from Daemen College in May of 1987 and received her Certified Public Accountant certificate in 1990. Teri is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Teri joined the firm in September 2003, when Frank and Mark Rojek merged their practice with Schunk, Wilson & Company. Teri has extensive experience in the area of not-for-profit organizations, closely held businesses, and all aspects of taxation.
Ashley joined our firm in July 2012 after graduating from Canisius College in May 2012, where she received an MBA degree in accounting. While in school, she had internships with Midland Asphalt Materials and Computer Task Group. Ashley obtained her CPA license in July 2014. Ashley has various experiences in audit and tax, with extensive knowledge in Fire District audits.
Jordan is a staff accountant who joined the firm in September 2013. He graduated with his BA and MBA in accounting from Niagara University in May 2011 and 2012, respectively. Prior to joining the firm, Jordan worked for another local CPA firm as a staff accountant performing audits of manufacturing companies, local governments, and not-for-profit organizations.
Bill joined Schunk Wilson in December 2017 as Business Marketing Director. He attended Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, NY, followed by his service in the U.S. Navy. In addition to owning his own technology company for fifteen years, Bill has twenty years of business development and marketing experience in the accounting world.
Kathy is a senior accountant with our firm. She joined Schunk, Wilson & Company in January of 1984 after graduating from Bryant and Stratton with an Associates Degree. She is experienced in many areas of taxation including corporation, partnership, and individual, as well as preparation of compiled and reviewed financial statements. She is also proficient in payroll processing and pension plans. In addition to tax and accounting work, she is a QuickBooks® Professional Advisor and has trained many clients in the use of QuickBooks® in their business. Kathy is also a New York State Notary Public.
Brittany joined our firm in August of 2014 after graduating from Canisius College in May, where she received an MBA degree in accounting. She had an internship with Hodgson Russ, LLP prior to joining our firm.
Matthew joined our firm in July 2013. Matthew earned his Masters in Accounting at the University at Buffalo in May 2013. Prior to joining Schunk Wilson, Matthew worked as an intern at Wegmans and for a local small business in Buffalo.
Matt joined Schunk, Wilson in August 2015 after completing an internship with our firm during the 2015 tax season. Matt earned his B.S. and M.S. in Accounting with a concentration in Taxation from the State University of New York at Buffalo and graduated in May 2015. He was recently promoted to Senior Staff Accountant.
Nick joined Schunk Wilson in August 2017. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University at Buffalo with a B.S. in Accounting. Before joining our firm, Nick interned for a local accounting firm and he is currently working towards his CPA license.
